Diamonds Struggle to Hit Win Column on the Diamond

June 26 – Chatham Diamonds Senior Rookies vs. Amherstburg

Chatham lost a close 12-10 game to the Amherstburg Cardinals falling short in their 7th inning comeback attempt. Morgan Lucier, Cameron Vandermeersch, DaKota VanGoethem, Jackson Moon and Nathan Rogers all had two hits a piece, while Brendan Mairs led the team with 2 singles and 2 doubles in the game.

June 26 – Chatham Diamonds Midgets vs Walkerville

The Midget Chatham Diamonds were shut out 3-0 by the Walkerville Homesites team. Kirk McKillop and Shawn Delanghe each had two singles in the game. Tyler Cogghe put on a strong performance from the pitchers mound striking out 7 and allowing only 2 hits through 5 innings of work.

June 27 – Chatham Diamonds Senior Rookies vs. Sarnia

For the second time in two days, the Chatham Diamonds Senior Rookies suffered a loss, this time a 23-9 landslide at the hands of Sarnia. Mat Hawryluk, Dakota VanGoethem, Nathan Rogers, and Quinn Erickson each had multi-hit games in the loss.

June 27 – Chatham Diamonds Midgets vs. Tecumseh

Kirk McKillop had two hits and 3 runs in a 10-5 Chatham loss. Brooks Shepley also had a strong game connecting on 3 singles and a double, while collecting 2 RBIs. Cody Wilkins and Shawn Delanghe were the lone other Diamonds who had hits in the loss.
