Chatham Attack Too Much for Bluewater FC

The U-15 Chatham Attack were finally back at home in action on Friday night, hosting the last place Bluewater FC. Chatham was looking to rebound from their disappointing scoreless tie last week against Sarnia Fury and put an end to their goal drought, and did so in style defeating Bluewater FC 5-1.

It didn’t take long for Chatham to show that they did have some offensive fire power, as they were awarded a penalty shot early in the 1st half and Christian Bechard managed to squeak a shot by the Bluewater goalie. Up 1 – 0 , Chatham would pour it on, as Kolby Sarson would score minutes later to put Chatham up 2 – 0 at the half.

Chatham did not show any signs of letting up in the 2nd half as Brady Shepherd made good on his mini breakaway to stake Chatham to a 3 – 0 lead. Christian Bechard scored his 2nd goal of the game and team leading 7th of the season, to put Chatham up 4 to nil. Nicholas Ladd jumped on the goal train rounding out Chatham’s scoring on the day at 5. Tyler Torrieri, called up from the U-14 Attack , played great in the Chatham net, but lost his shut-out bid late in the 2nd half. But none the less, Chatham had secured an important 5- 1 victory to keep them in 3rd place with an outside chance at climbing to 2nd by season’s end.
