CK Cougars Finish Fourth With Team Ontario West at Football Canada Cup
Clark Green, Jordan Deneau, and Connor Martin finished fourth with Team Ontario West this past week at the Football Canada Cup in Lethbridge, Alberta.
In the opening game of the National Championship tournament, Clark Green kicked a 20 yard field goal and 4 extra points helping Team Ontario West shutout Nova Scotia 33-0. Green also punted for 172 yards, averaging just over 34 yards in the game. Team Ontario West was then sent to the bronze medal game after losing to Team Alberta in front of a packed home crowd. Green punted for 264 yards in the game and scored a single point on a missed field goal, as well as a convert in their 25-8 loss.
Team Ontario West didn’t perform well in the bronze medal game of the Football Canada Cup U-18 National Championships losing 14-1 to British Columbia. Ontario’s lone point came from a Clark Green single into the endzone. Green kicked for a total of 239 yards in the game. Statistics for Deneay and Martin were not immediately available.
