Emily VanDamme Goes For Lacrosse Gold Thursday with Team Ontario
Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse goalie, Emily VanDamme, will be looking to wrap up another great performance at the Bantam girls Nationals on Thursday as Team Ontario will face Team BC in the Championship game at the Queen’s Park Arena in New Westminster, British Columbia.
These two teams split their games when they met during the round robin stage of the tournament. Team BC took the first game with a score of 3-1 and Team Ontario responded with a 3-2 victory in the second game.
Throughout the tournament Emily has shown that she can handle the pressure of being the starting goalie for Team Ontario, and her numbers back it up. She is 4-1-0, with a 1.66 GAA (Goals Against Average) and a .933 Save Percentage during the week long National tournament.
The Wallaceburg Minor Lacrosse Association would like to invite everyone to come out to the Oaks Inn on Thursday to cheer Emily on as they will be streaming the game live on the big screen. Game time will be 5:15pm EDT
**Note** Team Ontario has one more game to play Wednesday vs Team Alberta but the game won’t change the outcome of the Championship game.
