Jesse Gross - MMA Wallaceburg

After multiple cancelled fights following his devastating loss due to referee error against highly ranked fighter Brad Cardinal, Wallaceburg MMA fighter Jesse Gross will finally get his chance to return to the cage.

July 23, Jesse “The Ghost” Gross will take on Brazilian fighter Alexandre “Popo” Bezerra at Bellator 47. For Gross, it will be a slightly new experience as he’ll be dropping down to the featherweight division for the fight. Bezerra however, won’t be a pushover as the Brazilian sits with a strong 9-1 record, while Gross has a 6-1 professional MMA record.

The fight will take place in Ontario at Casino Rama, and will be Bellator’s first Canadian date. The fight also has the opportunity to give Gross a huge publicity boost as his undercard fight is tentatively scheduled for the televised portion of the event, which will air on MTV 2.

Bellator is one of North America’s premier MMA Fighting Championships promotion groups, which has televised major events on NBC, Fox Sports, and now MTV.

Following Gross last fight, his controversial loss to Brad Cardinal, Gross has been on the hunt for a fight with two previously scheduled bouts, including one at this same event, were cancelled.
