In the first day of the Euro Junior Golf Cup in Fife, Scotland, Chatham golfer, and Links of Kent member, Kyle Wicks came away with two big points for Team Canada in the match play event. Wicks trailed his matches after 9-holes but rebounded on the back nine to capture 2 important points for Team Canada, who finished the first day of competition 3 points up over Team USA.

Despite a rapid change in weather which came with rain and wind, day two of the Euro Cup came much the same as day one. Kyle Wicks continued his winning ways by draining a dramatic 18th hole birdie to give Canada their last point of the second day and extending Canada’s lead to 6 points heading into the final round which begins at 1:00pm Friday.

Heading into the Euro Junior Golf Cup, Wicks told CKSN the feeling of representing his country and heading overseas was hard to explain,

“Going to Scotland has been a life time dream for me and knowing I’m going over there to represent my country and to play golf, it’s just an incredible feeling that’s hard to explain.”
