Chatham Awarded Nations Cup Rugby Finals After Impressing Rugby Canada

After impressing Rugby Canada with their outstanding show of support Friday during the Nations Cup round robin games and TekSavvy Kent Cup, Chatham has been award the Championship day of the Nations Cup this Saturday, August 13.

Team Canada will face Team England for the Nations Cup championship for the gold, while the USA will play South Africa for the bronze.

All Kent Havoc team’s are also scheduled to play earlier in the day to kick off the festivities.

The TekSavvy Kent Cup between Canada and the USA Friday drew 915 fans and saw Canada defeat the USA 35-17.

Tickets for the full day of action are $5, with all tickets being sold at the door. The game will take place at the Chatham-Kent Community Athletic Complex.

Game times have yet to be confirmed but more information will follow shortly. Originally the Nations Cup finals were scheduled for Oakville with the 3rd vs. 4th place game being played at 2pm and the final being held at 4pm, however this schedule may be altered for the games in Chatham.
