Fall Minor Football Kicks Off in Chatham
Fall Minor Football in Chatham kicked off this weekend with 3 games at the Chatham-Kent Community Athletic Complex. Below are the results and summaries from each game.
Tyke
Community Cleaners 28 – Enviro-Clean Car& Dog Wash 14
In Tyke action at CKSS, Community Cleaners got touchdowns runs of 3 and 6 yards from Dorion Bacik en route to a 28-14 victory over Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash. Evan Torres and Nakoma Scott also scored for Community Cleaners. Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash got touchdowns from Alex Muharrem on a 23 yard scamper and Ethan Ciupka on a 55 yard run off right tackle. Safety Kenton Millard, Jude Pearson, Tyler Creechan and Anthony Pearson were outstanding defensively for Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash. Spencer Denomy recovered a fumble and Braxton Anderson, Aleks Sekerak and Cam Sanderson were outstanding on defense for Community Cleaners.
PeeWee
Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash 19 – Greener Project Development 8
In PeeWee action at CKSS, Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash outpaced Greener Project Development 19-8. Adam Pearson scored on a 2 yard quarterback sneak and RB Ethan Lutz and RB Lucas Doyle hit paydirt on runs of 55 and 7 yards, respectively. RB Jarrett Millard ran 47 yards around the left end for a touchdown. Kyle Chana-Johnson made a perfect snap to holder Chase Waddick and Cameron Creechan kicked the convert for Greener Project Development. Brenden Bondy, Waddick and Millard played well for the Greener Project Development defense. Connor Wright with a fumble recovery, Alex Gleason and Trey Postma were defensive standouts for Enviro-Clean Car & Dog Wash.
Bantam
Chatham Auto Sales 21 – Gillier Drainage 20
In an exciting Bantam game at CKSS, Chatham Auto Sales hung in to beat Gillier Drainage 21-20. RB Liberty Rountree scored on runs of 20 and 8 yards over the right side of the offensive line and Ricky O’Rourke scored on a tight end reverse from 19 yards out for Chatham Auto Sales. Caiden Segeren kicked a convert and TE Daniel Richardson caught a convert pass from QB Nolan Ball. RB Owen Ripley scored twice on runs of 62 and 38 yards and Colin Hoorelbeck scored on a 7 yard blast for Gillier Drainage. Hooerelbeck also kicked a convert. DB Morgan O’Brien intercepted two passes and LB Jordan Church recovered a fumble for the Gillier Drainage defense. DE Stewart Sharpe with a fumble recovery, LB Trent Scaman, LB Zach Lindley and DT Cameron Fletcher were stand outs for the Chatham Auto Sales defense.
