TJ Brodie Cut by the Calgary Flames
Last year, Brodie made the Calgary Flames out of training camp and played 3 games in the NHL before being re-assigned to Abbotsford. This year however, Brodie, who was an AHL all-star, was returned to the American Hockey League.
After the move, in which the Calgary Flames demoted 2 players back to their junior teams, and 12 to Abbotsford, the Flames were left with 9 defenseman, meaning Brodie has slipped down the Flames’ depth chart.
In Abbotsford last season, Brodie scored 5 goals and 29 assists in 68 games.
