National Ringette League Game in Chatham This Saturday
The National Ringette League will play a regular season game in Chatham at Thames Campus Arena this Saturday. The game, which features the Cambridge Turbos and Richmond Hill Lightning, will get underway at 2:00pm.
To open their season, the Richmond Hill Lightning grabbed a 5-2 win over the Quebec City Cyclones. After going almost undefeated last season, the Cambridge Turbos dropped their season opener 5-4 to the Whitby Wild in a shootout.
Chatham has a strong tradition of ringette, with several Chatham Thunder teams annually in contention for provincial titles.
The game is being touted as an opportunity to see one of the fastest games on ice played by the best players in the world. Cambridge and Richmond Hill are two talented organizations featuring some of the best ringette players on the planet.
Admission to the game is only $5 for adults and $2 for those 16-years-old and younger.
