It seems a long way from Wallaceburg to be re-uniting with lacrosse sticks in hand, but that’s exactly what three Wallaceburg Red Devils are doing as they compete with the Laurentian Voyageurs Field Lacrosse team.

Wallaceburg’s Clint Lamarsh and Rob Pollock, and Matt Kussman of Brampton, who played for the Wallaceburg Red Devils this past season, are all enjoying strong seasons with Laurentian. With the Red Devils, Lamarsh was the team’s second leading scorer compiling 38 goals and 32 assists for 70 points in 20 games.

With the Laurentian Voyageurs, Lamarsh has continued to use his scoring touch. Lamarsh was named Laurentian’s Male Athlete of the Week to open the season, and has racked up 12 goals and 8 assists for 20 points in the first 5 games of the season for the Voyaguers to sit amongst the top ten scorers in the Canadian University Field Lacrosse Association.

Kussman, who joined the Red Devils for their playoff push last season, scoring 8 points in 7 games for the team, has 4 goals in the young season, while Rob Pollock who 19 goals and 46 assists for 65 points with the Wallaceburg Red Devils, has been a key component of Laurentian’s defence corps.

Next weekend, the trio of Wallaceburg Red Devils stars make their closest trip to home playing back to back games at Western October 15 and 16.
