UCC Hands Wallaceburg Overtime Loss in Senior Girls Hoops

The UCC Lancers handed the Wallaceburg Tartans their first loss of the season in Senior Girls basketball 42-38 in overtime. Leann Finley powered the Lancers to the win with a 30-point performance.

Finley’s 30-point night included 8-points in overtime where she went 6-for-6 from the free throw line. Wallaceburg held a lead following each quarter until Finley was fouled late in the game on a 3-point attempt, sending her to the line where she drained all three free throws sending the game to overtime.

Shauney Fischer paced the Wallaceburg Tartans with 15-points in the game.

In other senior girls action, John McGregor defeated CKSS 54-34. Bridget Carleton scored 29-points for the JMSS Panthers.

CKSS exacted their revenge in Junior Girls hoops defeating John McGregor 32-30, while Wallaceburg beat UCC 48-28.
