Brett Vandehogen Has Four Point Weekend
Chatham’s Brett Vandehogen had a four-point weekend as his University of Windsor Lancers won a pair of games over the University of Ontario Institute of Technology.
Brett had a goal and assist as the Lancers beat UOIT, 5-3 on November 11. He added a goal in a 10-2 win the following night.
The Lancers have now won five straight games and are 7-5 on the season.
In Ontario Hockey League play, Wallaceburg’s Seth Griffith had a four-point week. He had a goal and an assist in a 4-3 loss to Sault Ste. Marie on November 11, and two assists in a 4-1 win over the Erie Otters on November 12. Teammate Dane Fox of Thamesville had a goal in the Erie win.
Blenheim’s Kyle Hope picked up three assists last week. He had one assist in Oshawa’s 7-4 win over Peterborough on November 8 and two assists as Oshawa beat Ottawa, 6-3, on November 12.
In the pro ranks, Ryan Jones of Chatham picked up his third goal of the season as Edmonton beat Montreal on November 8. Dresden’s Wes Cunningham of the Greenville Road Warriors had an assist in a 2-1 win over the South Carolina Stingrays in ECHL play on November 12.
T.J. Brodie of Dresden didn’t have any points in the two games he played for the Calgary Flames over the weekend after being called up from their top farm team, the Abbotsford Heat. However, T.J. saw 15 minutes of action as the Flames loss 4-1 to Chicago on November 11 and 11 minutes of action as Calgary beat Colorado, 4-3, the next night.
