Chatham Maroons Double Up on Flyers for Third Straight Win

Sean Myers picked up the Chatham Maroons and carried them to an important 6-3 win over the Leamington Flyers Sunday night at Memorial Arena. With the Western Conference standings tight, the Maroons have been battling to hold ground and climb away from the bottom of the league.

Myers scored a hat trick in the game to pace the Chatham Maroons, while Brennan Feasey had two goals and an assist in the win.

Trevor Richardson opened the scoring for the Maroons, but it was Feasey and Myers, who scored all five of their goals in the third period. Michael Verboom also had two assists.

Connor MacKinnon made 37 saves for the Maroons who now sit sixth in the Western Conference only two points behind Sarnia, St. Marys and St. Thomas.

Alex Seguin had all three goals for the Leamington Flyers in the loss. Chatham is now off until next weekend when they play Brantford and Stoney Creek in two crossover games.
