It’s ACTION Week With the Chatham Maroons, Free Tickets Available
This Sunday November 20th at 7PM, students and youth volunteers working with the Chatham-Kent Public Health Unit will be celebrating ‘ACTION Week’ with the Chatham Maroons during their regular season game against the Stoney Creek Warriors at Memorial Auditorium. Young people will be promoting and celebrating tobacco free living through a variety of interesting displays and events. Here is a brief schedule of what’s happening:
‘Just Dance’ Pre-game Party: come get active and play the lastest game and win noisemakers to help cheer on your own Chatham Maroons.
‘The Big Race’ (first intermission): cheer on home town favourite ‘Mighty Maroon’ as he races against some unhealthy rivals. ‘Fill in the blanks’ and have an opportunity to win 1of 5 Tobacco Free Sports and Recreation prize packs.
“iTHINK Display” (all game): visit our display located on the second level and learn how large corporations spend billions of dollars marketing their unhealthy, and sometimes deadly, products to young people. Take part in our photo challenge and walk away with some trendy new shades.
If you are a young person under the age of 19 and would like to attend this exciting event for FREE, send an email with your name and age to: jeffm@chatham-kent.ca by Friday, November 18th at 5PM to request your free pair of tickets (you are encouraged to bring a friend!). You can also ‘Tweet’ your ticket request to @areUreadyCK and win a bonus prize! Free tickets will be offered on a first come, first served basis so request those tickets soon to avoid disappointment!
