Maroons, Lakers Win in Local Junior Hockey

The Chatham Maroons earned a 4-3 win over the Lasalle Vipers while the Wallaceburg Lakers doubled up the Dresden Kings 6-3 Wednesday night.

Chatham Maroons captain Sean Myers scored the game winner for the Maroons as they won their second straight game. Myers scored the winner on the powerplay with less than 7 minutes remaining in the game.

Michael Sollazzo, new to the team after being acquired from Thorold, scored the opening goal of the game. Blake Blondeel and Marco Canzoneri also scored for Chatham, while Hunter Johnson made 24 saves in the win.

In Wallaceburg, Tyson Isaac scored a hat trick for the Lakers in a 6-3 win over the Dresden Kings. Justin Whitson, a newcomer to the Lakers lineup scored his first of the season, while Jeff Nolfo and Lucais Meyskens also scored for the Wallaceburg Lakers.

Scoring for the Dresden Kings were Macks Holmes, Taylor Sisson, and Brennan Rainey.
