Chatham Thunder U-10's against Dorchester

The Cement Man U10 Chatham Thunder Ringette team hit the highway for their first road game of the season, facing the undefeated Dorchester Dragons. In a strong two way battle, the Thunder defensive crew prooved stronger posting a 5-0 victory.

Audrey Mackay-Barr continued to stand strong in goal posting her second shut-out of the season and Courtney Legere led the scoring drive with four unanswered markers with help from Natasha Anderson, Emilie Newman, and Camille Blain who each posted single assists. Lydia Harron closed out the scoring for Chatham late in the second period with an unassisted goal.

The Cement Man Chatham Thunder then returned to Erickson Arena for a Sunday test against the visiting Seaforth Storm. Continuing on the momentum of Saturday’s convincing victory, the Thunder displayed some strong ring control and passing with a 10 – 2 decision.

The scoring was well distributed with seven different players earning goals. Courtney Legere started things off 1:17 into the contest and added another goal and helper later. Lydia Harron followed with their second marker less than a minute later assisted Kylyn Murphy and Ireland DaSilva. Dasilva continued her strong effort with two goals of her own, as did Erica Anderson, with two goals and three assists. Natasha Anderson, Leah Thompson, and Delaney George all posted single efforts to close out the scoring with George adding a pair of helpers and Thompson a single. Shelby Ritzer jumped into the play with two assists.

Although Chatham’s strong defense continues to stymie offenses, Audrey Mackay-Barr posted a strong effort in goal, anchoring Chatham’s quick transition game.

The Thunder will back on the road Sunday, this coming weekend, with a double header trip including the London Lynx and Mitchell Stingers.
