Brennan Feasey Hat Trick Lifts Maroons Over Lincolns

Brennan Feasey scored a hat trick at home Sunday night for the Chatham Maroons as Chatham defeated the St. Marys Lincolns 5-2.

St. Marys opened the scoring in the first period holding a 1-0 lead heading into the second period before Feasey took over.

Feasey scored his first of the game at 5:38 of the second period assisted by Trevor Richardson and Michael Verboom. Only two minutes later, Chatham resident and Chatham-Kent Secondary School student Nate Pietens scored to put the Maroons ahead 2-1.

Before the second period was out, Feasey scored his second of the game, this time assisted by Ian Faubert and Thomas Eady.

Early in the third, St. Marys pulled close, however Chatham’s scoring attack wasn’t done, as Connor Doran scored with less than 2 minutes remaining. Feasey then capped his hat trick off in the final minute by sliding a shot into the empty net. Verboom and Faubert picked up their second assists of the game on the play.

Chatham now travels to Leamington on Thursday to face the Flyers.
