Tips For Fueling Up Post Practice and Game

nutrition

The post game meal is just as important as the pre-game meal. After an intense workout, we need to replenish our body’s nutrition.

The most important elements of the meal aside from water are Protein and Carbohydrates. The protein helps us in repairing the sore muscles, and the carbohydrates replenish our energy stores.

Since fat slows down the process of digestion, we want to avoid fat intake in this meal to ensure quick absorption of protein and complex carbohydrates.

It is best to consume this meal within the first hour following exercise.
