Wheatley Sharks Devour Wallaceburg in Junior C Action
Nothing went as planned Wednesday night for the Wallaceburg Lakers as they welcomed the Wheatley Sharks to town. Wheatley devoured the Wallaceburg Lakers 7-1 in the game.
Shawn Lubbers opened the scoring for Wallaceburg before the Wheatley Sharks scored 7 unanswered goals.
Eric Rivard, Seabastian Kanally, and Craig Adamson scored first period goals for Wheatley who peppered Wallaceburg goalie Reid Rankin with 19 shots in the first period alone.
Josh Tremblay, Trevor Grieve, and Austin Fontaine powered Wheatley to another 3 goal period in the second putting the Sharks ahead 6-1 heading into the third period.
In the third, Grieve scored his second goal of the game making the score 7-1 for Wheatley.
Luckily, Lubbers first period goal allowed fans to flood the ice with Teddy Bears for the Wallaceburg Lakers annual Teddy Bear Toss.
