Cover your ears kids, it’s that time again…back to school. With the Christmas holiday coming to a close, it’s back to school for students across Chatham-Kent, which also means back to high school sports.

Monday, January 9 (2012) is the first day back to school, and features a number of games on the high school schedule including in girls curling, boys curling, girls hockey, and boys hockey.

In girls hockey, two of the top teams in the league, the first place UCC Lancers and LKCS Cardinals face off, while John McGregor plays second place Ridgetown.

In the boys hockey loop, upstart Ridgetown, who has been the surprise of the league thus far, plays the last place John McGregor Panthers. This is the first season back in the league for the RDHS Royals after a multiple season hiatus.

The curling schedule is also full with several games taking place at the Chatham Granite Club and Sydenham Curling Club.
