Kerkhof Enjoying Strong Junior Season at Northeastern
Last Thursday, Kerkhof sparked an incredible 58-54 comeback win over the George Mason Patriots. Kerkhof scored a game high 25-points. Kerkhof scored the final four points of the game, including the go ahead basket with 17 seconds remaining, followed by two free throws.
January 9 against Old Dominion, Kerkhof, a Ursuline College graduate, also led all scorers with 19-points, including 5 three pointers.
In her third NCAA season with the Northeastern Huskies, Deanna Kerkhof has started each of her team’s games and is averaging a a career high 11.8 points per game.
Despite Kerhof’s personal successes this season, Northeastern has struggled, posting a 3-12 record, with their win over George Mason being their first in CAA play.
Kerkhof and the Northeastern Huskies face Deleware January 15, before traveling to Drexal, and Hofstra January 19 and 22 respectively.
