Max Allin Earns Second Consecutive Laurier Athlete of the Week Honour
Chatham’s Maxwell Allin seems nearly unstoppable on the OUA courts this season, leading the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks to two wins this week, on his way to being named the Wilfrid Laurier Male Athlete of the Week for the third time this season.
Last Wednesday, Allin scored a game high 15-points for Wilfrid Laurier as they defeated the Brock Badgers 89-55. Allin also displayed his balanced game by grabbing 8 rebounds and chipping in 7 assists in the win.
Saturday in London against the Western Mustangs, Max Allin came up just short of a triple double, scoring 23-points, while adding 9 rebounds and 9 assists as the Golden Hawks defeated the Western Mustangs 89-73.
Allin has been instrumental this season for the Laurier Golden Hawks, who sit ranked 6th in Canada among CIS basketball teams. Allin was also named the Laurier Athlete of the Week, last week ending January 23, and before that in November.
Allin and the Golden Hawks will travel to Windsor this Wednesday to face the Lancers.
