Max Allin Wins Weekly Award for Second Time This Season

For the second time this season, Chatham’s Maxwell Allin has been named the Wilfrid Laurier Golden Hawks male athlete of the week.

Last week, Allin and his Laurier Golden Hawks won two games against the University of Western Ontario and the University of Guelph. In each game, Allin was a force, leading his team in the stats column.

Against Guelph, Allin, a UCC Lancers alumni, but up a season high 27-points and 11 rebounds, leading his team to a 97-91 win. Against the UWO Mustangs, Allin racked up 23-points and 8 rebounds. Allin was also recognized as an OUA Peak Performer on the OUA website this week.

Allin’s WLU Golden Hawks are currently the 6th ranked team in the country. Laurier currently sits tied atop the OUA West with Lakehead.

Through 14 games this season, Max Allin is averaging a career, regular season high 15.1 points per game. This is the second time Allin has been named the Laurier Male Athlete of the Week after he received the honour in November.
