DiNatale leads Belle River over Wheatley, 6-2

The Belle River Canadiens’ Chris DiNatale had a big offensive game, scoring one goal and contributing three assists in his team’s 6-2 win over the Wheatley Sharks.
DiNatale got on the board by slotting home a goal 14:04 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Belle River. Blake Jones picked up the assist. The Sharks kept the Canadiens’ goalie busy throughout the game, and Zakk Olvin made 30 saves on 32 shots. Wheatley was often in penalty trouble, as it ended with 11 minors and one major for 27 minutes in penalty time. The leading offender was Dan Matoski, who totaled five minutes in penalty time with one major.
Belle River registered two goals on eight power play opportunities. For the Canadiens, Jordan Taylor was ejected from the game. The Sharks’ Marc Tremblay stopped 21 shots out of the 27 that he faced. For Wheatley, Matoski was ejected from the game.
