Hi, Hello, How Are Ya?
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself to you. Actually, I suppose I am introducing “us” to you. “Us” being the brains behind the new running store “Up and Running”, due to open early March. We are Matt and Kim Wood – proud residents of Chatham, active in the fitness community, and big fans of all things running.
We are excited to be opening our new running store in the downtown core of Chatham. Big things are happening downtown, and we are looking forward to being a part of it. The store will cater mainly to runners of all levels – if you’re preparing for your fiftieth marathon in fifty days, we have all of the gear you need (and I really want to meet you to shake your hand, and take your temperature!), or if you’re thinking about getting off the couch to join one of our “Learn to Run” groups, we have everything you need as well, including answers to pressing questions, such as “What kind of gear do I need if I want to run in these dark, cold months?” or “Why do I have to hit a bathroom within 15 minutes of starting my run, and what do I do about it?”
Please check out our website: www.getupandrun.com, visit us and like us on Facebook: www.facebook.com/getupandrun to find out more about us.
Also, keep your eyes open as my weekly blog may be making an appearance here on CKSN, as well as any special announcements or event information.
Great chat! I look forward to meeting you all in person soon!
I’m really looking forward to the opening of this store. I used to be a regular runner, and then life hit and I’ve definitely become a slacker. Hopefully this store will help create a fun running community that will make me actually WANT to run again.
Amazing! I hate driving to Running Room in London or Sarnia. Much better to have a store in town. Give me some motivation to get back into running shape to. Congrats to the Woods.
I congratulate the Woods on their new enterprise and pray that the Lord blesses their business. Many people are into running these days, from seasoned veterans to newcomers, and a place like this will be a great resource.
