Robinet, Allin Lead Lancers to OFSSA Bid
The UCC Lancers may have been upset in the Kent Basketball final, but that doesn’t mean the team wasn’t destined for bigger things.
Luke Allin paced the UCC Lancers, picking up a double-double in the 73-59 UCC win over Windsor Holy Names in the “AAAA” SWOSSAA final, sending the Lancers to OFSAA.
Allin, already the most dominant player in the KCSSAA loop as a grade 11, showed the Windsor crowd, which was familiar with his family name as three of his brothers played University basketball in Windsor, that there is still one more Allin brother to contend with. Allin scored 13-points in the win, and added 10 rebounds.
Tristan Robinet was the top scorer for the UCC Lancers knocking down 18-points in the win.
Jazz White and Myles Jones rounded out the Lancers’ balanced offense each scoring 13-points for Ursuline College.
UCC will have little rest before the “AAAA” OFSAA basketball championships, as the team will travel to Ottawa for the championships, which runs from March 4 until March 7.
