Bartlett Lifts Blenheim Midgets in OMHA Semis
The Blenheim Midget ‘CC’ team are one win closer to appearing in the OMHA finals after defeating Hanover Wednesday night in Blenheim in game one of their OMHA semi-final series.
Ben Bartlett paced the Blenheim team assisting on a first period goal by Alex Polowick, before scoring two goals of his own in the 3-1 game one win.
Zach Fish scored the lone Hanover goal in the third period.
Justin Pratt played solid in net for Blenheim in the win.
The Blenheim team has several players from last seasons Chatham-Kent Cyclones Minor Midget ‘AAA’ team, including Bartlett, Blayne Oliver, Pratt, and Cam Aitken, who were left without a team after the Cyclones folded their major midget team.
Game 2 of the 6-point series will take place Saturday with game 3 Sunday, both in Hanover. The remainder of the schedule is as follow:
Game 2-in Hanover Sat. March 3rd at 2:15pm
Game 3-in Hanover Sun. March 4th at 8:30pm
Game 4-in Blenheim Wed. March 7th at 7:45pm
Game 5-in Hanover Thurs. March 8th at 8:30pm
Game 6-in Blenheim Sat. March 10th at 7:10pm
Winner of this series will play either Tavistock or the Highland Storm for the OMHA ‘CC’ championship.
