Brett Vandehogen of Chatham ended his collegiate hockey career on March 11 when his University of Windsor Lancers dropped a 5-3 decision to the UQTR Patriotes in the OUA bronze medal game in Trois Rivieres, Quebec.

Had the Lancers pulled out the victory, they would have advanced to the CIS men’s hockey championship series in Fredericton, N.B.

Brett, a General Arts major, scored 23 goals and had 44 assists during his time with the Lancers. He ended up being the team’s 38th leading all-time scorer with 67 points.

Prior to joining the Lancers, Brett played for the St. Clair Saints and Chatham Maroons.

Good luck, Brett, in the future.
