Brodie Misses Again, But Flames Keep Winning
Brodie, who was injured last Friday against the Winnipeg Jets, did not accompany the Flames on their weekend road trip to play the Minnesota Wild and was also a scratch Tuesday against the San Jose Sharks, and Thursday against the Phoenix Coyotes.
The Calgary Flames are back on the road Friday night against Chatham’s Ryan Jones and the Edmonton Oilers.
Brodie is still listed as day-to-day with his injury, however the Flames appear to be in no hurry to rush the rookie back into the lineup as they are currently riding a five game win streak, including 3 without Brodie.
TJ Brodie has played 54 games this season, scoring 2 goals and adding 12 assists while being a solid defensive asset. Veteran Anton Babchuk has replaced Brodie during his injury.
The Flames now sit one point out of the 8th and final playoff spot in the Western Conference.
