Kerkhof Named To CAA All-Academic Team

While many athletes struggle through college, Wallaceburg’s Deanna Kerkhof is thriving and embracing the role of student-athlete.

For the second straight season, Kerkhof was named to the CAA All-Academic First Team. Kerkhof was also honoured for her exceptional play on the court by being named a Third Team CAA All-Star.

The Northeastern University basketball star, and UCC Lancers alumni, was the top scorer on her Northeastern Huskies team, scoring 14.4 points per game overall, and 15.8 in conference games.

Thursday, Deanna Kerkhof and her Northeastern Huskies were eliminated from the CAA tournament, losing to George Mason 70-60.
