Chatham’s Jason Missiaen of the Greenville Road Warriors was named the Reebok Hockey ECHL Goaltender of the Week for the second time this season after receiving the honour for the week of February 27 through March 4. Missiaen won the award earlier this season for the week of Dec. 5-11.

Missiaen led his Greenville team to a 3-0-0 record last week with a 1.62 goals-against average and a .948 save percentage.

PLaying Cincinnati on Tuesday, Missiaen made 21 saves helping his team pick up two points in a 2-1 victory, followed by a 27 save 2-1 win against South Carolina on Saturday. Matching his season high, Missiaen then collected 42 saves in a 6-3 win against Trenton to cap off the week.

Missiaen has appeared in 33 games with the Greenville Road Warriors this season holding a 18-12-2 record. The former Montreal Canadiens draft pick has three shutouts this season and a 2.90 GAA along with a .910 save percentage.

After signing with the New York Rangers in the offseason, Missiaen took over the starting goaltender position with Greenville, and has also been called up to the Connecticut Whale of the AHL this season.
