Chatham TekSavvy Peewee AE’s Win Bluewater Championship

Chatham TekSavvy Cobras Peewee AE team wins Bluewater title - Submitted Photo

The Chatham Teksavvy Cobras PeeWee AE team won the Bluewater Championship this past weekend in Amherstburg. The team finished first in the playoff standings.

Playing Belle River last Thursday at Memorial Arena in the league semi-final, Chatham dominated walking away with a 7-2 win. Liam Barstead was the winning goalie, shutting the door on Belle River. Cedric Dubois led the way for the Cobras scoring a hat trick and adding an assist in the game. Other goal scorers were Brandon Baggio, Calen Coristine, Brody Hoekstra, and Austin McQuiggan.

In the Bluewater final, Sunday in Amherstburg against Windsor, the Cobras were in for a tougher fight, narrowly edging Windsor 1-0 to capture the Bluewater title.

Caleb Pinsonneault posted the shutout for the Chatham Cobras, while Zak Brodie scored the winning goal, unassisted.
