Wallaceburg’s Jordan Durston has been named the Chatham-Kent Local Athlete of the Week for April 22 to April 29.

Saturday, Durston led the Wallaceburg Red Devils Junior B lacrosse team to a 14-13 win over the Guelph Rebels scoring two goals and adding nine assists, for eleven points total in the game.

Earlier in the week against the Sarnia Pacers, Durston had five goals and two assists in a 17-6 win.

Durston’s 18-point week, leading the Junior B Red Devils to two wins, earned him CK Local Athlete of the Week honours. With his performance this week, Durston sits in the top three in league scoring after three games and is on pace to crush the 76-points he collected in 20 games last season.

This season, Durston was named the Wallaceburg Lakers Junior C hockey team MVP, and was a key component of the Wallaceburg Tartans Senior Football team that won Kent and SWOSSAA this fall. Durston also led the St. Clair Spirit Field Lacrosse team in scoring this summer.

Durston and the Wallaceburg Red Devils will travel to Sarnia this Wednesday to face the Pacers again. Congratulations Jordan!
