Minor Atom Cobras Strike in League Final

The Minor Atom Kent Cobras won the Bluewater League championship defeating the first place Tecumseh Eagles 4-3 Sunday April 1.

Kent had 2 quick goals by Adrian Stubberfield and Brandon Gray 45 seconds apart only a few minutes into the first period. Tecumseh responded later in the first making it 2-1.

Adrian Stubberfield put his team ahead again with his second goal to end the first.

Riley Drummond scored the game winning goal in the 2nd. Tecumseh scored a goal in the third to make it 4-3 but couldn’t capitalize 6 on 4 power-play at the end of the game.

The Kent Cobras had helpers from Dakota VanGoethem with 2 assists, and Colton Burniston, Curtis Devos, Cal Polowick and Julian Verleye with one each.
