Season Ends For Top Wildcats Team

Chatham-Kent’s highest ranked basketball team, the U13 Chatham-Kent Wildcats Bantam Girls competed at their Provincial Championships this past weekend in Windsor. This was the third year the team has played in Division One.

The Wildcats were ranked 7th heading into the weekend and were the only team from #4-8 to defeat a higher ranked team. On Friday night the Wildcats defeated Newman Youth – Stoney Creek who were the #3 seed.

Chatham-Kent has played Newman 3 other times this season and have only beaten them once by 2 when their 6 foot center was injured. She played in the game on Friday, but the Wildcats lead from the opening tip and never looked back.

Game 2
