Brett Hope Commits to Buffalo State College

Blenheim’s Brett Hope has committed to play hockey for Buffalo State College next season. Buffalo State is an NCAA Division III school.

The Junior B Alumni who spent the final two seasons of his Junior B career with the St. Thomas Stars, graduated this past year as the Stars’ captain and was named the best defensive forward in the GOJHL’s Western Conference. Hope also represented the stars at the Western Conference All-Star game.

Last year, Hope helped the St. Thomas Stars to a Sutherland Cup appearance after winning the Western Conference Championship.

This season in 50 games, Hope had 15 goals and 29 assists for 44 points. In his five year Junior B career, three of which he spent with the Chatham Maroons, Hope compiled 52 goals and 80 assists in 242 games. He also compiled 37 points in 48 playoff games.

The Buffalo State College Bengals play in the SUNYAC conference and made it to the league semi-final last season before losing a heartbreaker to Plattsburgh 4-3.

Hope will join three other Canadian players on the Buffalo State College roster who remain from last season.
