Chatham’s Brittany Shepley Named Ohio Valley Athlete of the Year

Chatham’s Brittany Shepley has been named the Ohio Valley University Female Athlete of the Year. Shepley plays softball for the Ohio Valley Lady Scots.

Shepley was also the University’s Student Athletic Advisory Committee Award winner, the school’s top honour. The John McGregor Secondary School graduate was given this award for athletics, leadership, and character.

This is the inaugural season for these awards at Ohio Valley University. Shepley was the leadoff hitter for the Lady Scots leading the team with a .417 batting average, hits (58), and runs (32).

She was also named a second team all-WVIAC (West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) athlete.

Majoring in Wellness Education, Shepley is a Junior and played outfield for Ohio Valley University.
