Kent High School Girls Rugby All-Stars Named

The fourth annual Kent High School Girls Rugby banquet was held on Monday May 28th at Boston Pizza. This annual event recognizes five players, as selected by their coaches, from each of the four high school girls rugby teams. The all star nomination identifies the distinction of these high performance athletes in areas such as: skill, leadership, teamwork, impact and personal accomplishment. This social is in the true spirit of rugby culture, bringing all girls high school rugby players together to celebrate the past season.

This year saw the inclusion of Belle River into the league and the establishment of a girls program at Wallaceburg District Secondary School.

Blenheim defeated UCC to claim the Kent Havoc Cup league title and competed well at SWOSSA. UCC have advanced through SWOSSAA and are off to OFSSA, being held in Ottawa, June 4th to June 6th.
