Clements To Replace Alves For UFC 149 in Calgary

Dresden’s Chris Clements didn’t have to wait as long as expected for his second fight inside the UFC cage, as he has been named as a replacement for UFC 149.

Clements replaces Thiago Alves who is injured and can’t compete, against Siyar Bahadurzada, who is also coming off a win in his UFC debut.

In UFC 145, Clements won his debut facing veteran Keith Wisniewski by a split decision in Atlanta.

The fight, which is supposed to be a part of the main card will take place July 21 at the Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary.

Clements is one of six Canadians on the card that night.
