Deer Run Open, Ready For Golf Following Fire
“We will be open, and we will put full facilities in place for golfers,” said owner Larissa LeGros.
LeGros wanted the public to know that although tragedy hit the club house, the course golfers from across Ontario have come to love will remain open.
“We want people to know we are open for golf, we will fulfill all tournaments that were booked for the summer, and tee times can be booked online at www.deerrungolfcourse.com.”
Phone tee times will be available in the coming days, and walk on play is welcomed.
The fire, which started sometime Thursday morning around 3am, devastated the club house with estimated damages of $750,000.
LeGros said that the exact cause of the fire had yet to be determined through the investigations. She also expressed her gratitude for the outpouring of support and invited local golfers to come to the course in the coming days and weeks as the course was freshly cut this morning, and is in fantastic shape for golf.
“We will remain open, we’ll do what we have to do to,” said LeGros. “We appreciate everyone’s support, and hope to see everyone out soon.”
