Local Athletes Star at Taekwondo Competition
Cobra’s Taekwondo had 3 students that competed for their first time. Sawyer Ritchie (7 years old) competed in the 7-8 years old yellow to green stripe division. Keegan Kovar (6 years old) placed silver in the 6 and under green to blue stripe division. Primo Whiteye (11 years old) placed bronze in the 11-12 years old yellow to green stripe division.
Other athletes that competed for Team Cobra’s was Annelise Garapick (12 years old) placed bronze in the 11 -12 years old blue to red stripe division. Oceana Doxtator (14 years old) won silver in the 13 – 14 years old red to black division, her sister Katlyn Doxtator (14 years old) won bronze in the same division.
Alyssa Blackbird (15 years old) earned silver in the 17 years and older black belt high performance Olympic division.
Jewelian Blackbird (13 years old) challenged herself and competed in the 15-17 years old black belt high performance Olympic division and won silver. She also competed in the 13 – 14 years old black belt division also winning silver.
