Melvin To Enter Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame

Chatham’s Doug Melvin will enter the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame Saturday in St. Marys along side Rusty Staub, Rheal Cormier, and the 2011 Canadian National Baseball team.

Melvin currently serves as the General Manager of the Milwaukee Brewers. For his work, Melvin was named the Major League Executive of the Year last season by Baseball America.

Former Canadian Baseball Hall of Famer and fellow Chatham product Fergie Jenkins is also expected to be in attendance as a part of a star studded induction ceremony which will begin at 11am.

Prior to working with the Milwaukee Brewers, Melvin held various roles with the Texas Rangers, New York Yankess, Boston Red Sox, and Baltimore Orioles.
