Clements To Face Different Opponent at UFC 149

Chris "The Menace" Clements

After being a replacement himself for the main card at UFC 149, Dresden’s Chris Clements will now face a replacement fighter himself after his original opponent Siyar Bahadurzada was forced to pull out of the fight.

Bahadurzada is injured and unable to compete in the bout, which will now feature Matt Riddle in his place against Clements. Clements himself was replacing Thiago Alves for this fight after Alves pulled out due to injury.

Clements defeated Keith Wisniewski in his first UFC bout (UFC 145) by a split decision. This was Clements’ first fight at the UFC level, and the only of his 11 career wins which wasn’t recorded by knockout.

Riddle last fought in UFC 143 defeating Henry Martinez, but had lost his previous two fights before the win. Riddle has nine professional fights to his resume, all in the UFC, carrying a 6-3 record.

UFC 149 will take place at the Saddledome in Calgary, Canada, on July 21.
