Fantuz Scores First TD With Tiger Cats

It took three games, but Andy Fantuz was finally able to score a touchdown for his new team, the Hamilton Tiger Cats.

In the first quarter of Saturday’s game against the Toronto Argonauts, Fantuz scored on a 24-yard pass from Hamilton quarterback Henry Burris with 44 seconds remaining in the quarter.

The touchdown gave Hamilton a 14-0 lead in the game on their way to a 36-27 win.

Fantuz had 3 receptions in the game for a team high 71-yards.

Through the first three games of the season, Fantuz has 13 receptions for 163 total yards, with Saturday’s touchdown standing as his longest reception of the season.

The win was Hamilton’s first of the season. The Tiger Cats will now host Montreal July 21.
