Kent Havoc Senior Women hosted the Bruce Banshee’s at the Chatham-Kent Community Athletic Complex Saturday, picking up their first win of the season, 29-12.

The game was a return engagement, as the Kent Havoc had travelled to Port Elgin in the season opener, which the Banshee’s dominated. Bruce went into the game with a 3-1 record, while the Havoc Women were 0-3.

In this game, the Havoc had a full roster of 22, and were able to get the best out of their roster while dealing with the extreme heat and the humidity.

Kent scored 4 tries in the game. Breanne Nicholas had 2, Tegan Williams had 1, and Sarah Whitelaw had 1. Sophia Roth was 2 for 3 on conversions, while Breanne Nicholas kicked a penalty in the game.

The next game for the Kent Havoc women is at home on the July 14 versus Sarnia, under the lights at CKSS.

The Havoc U-18s Girls are in Windsor Sunday for the first Southwest Rugby Tournament of the season.
