Mairs Competing at Brick Invitational in Edmonton

Chatham’s Brendan Mairs, who played for the Minor Atom Chatham-Kent Cyclones ‘AAA’ last season, will be competing this week with the Pro Hockey Development team at the Brick Invitational Tournament in Edmonton.

In 67 games last season for the Chatham-Kent Cyclones, Mairs scored 81 goals and added 31 assists. The previous season, Mairs helped the Chatham Maroons Major Novice ‘AA’ team to an OMHA title.

The Toronto based team will be competing against All-Star teams from across North America. Through their first four games of the tournament, Toronto Pro Hockey defeated Saskatchewan 5-0 and Chicago 5-1, tied Boston 2-2, and lost to Detroit 3-1.

Mairs collected an assist in the opening games.

Toronto will finish off their round robin games against the Atlantic Jr Selects and Team Minnesota.
