Red Devils Shock Rebels in Game One
The Wallaceburg Red Devils shocked the Six Nations Rebels in game one of the OLA Semi-Final Friday defeating the top ranked team 15-9.
Jordan Durston and Clint Lamarsh led the way for the Red Devils scoring 5 goals and adding 5 assists each in the game. Rob Pollock also had a strong game compiling 9 assists.
In the opening period, Lamarsh scored twice, as did Wallaceburg product Jordan VanDamme as the two teams battled to a 4-4 tie after one.
The second frame was another back and forth period with Durston scoring three times and Lamarsh, and Marcus Lagerstrom chipping in singles to give Wallaceburg a one goal lead heading into the third.
In the final period, Wallaceburg took over the game. Lamarsh, Durston, and Reid Miller all scored two goals, while the Red Devils’ defense held Six Nations to only one goal, giving Wallaceburg the 15-9 win.
Game two of the series gets going Sunday at 4pm in Wallaceburg. Game three is Thursday at 8pm in Six Nations.
