Clean Sweep For Gracie Barra Chatham
First up was Tyson Johnson stepping in for David Dalrymple with 3 days notice making his debut at 155 lbs. He faced off against Ace Sears (0-1) of Absolute Kombat. The fight was fast, with Johnson throwing a few straight punches setting up for the takedown, which lead to achieving back mount and finishing with a rear naked choke early in the first round.
Then Chris Byrne (0-1) returned to the cage after a 2 week break from his last bout. Entered at 185 facing Fabio D’Angostino (1-0) of MASH gym, they both fought long and hard for all 3 rounds ending with Byrne winning by split decision and improving his record to 1-1.
Next up was Chris Halliday making his debut at 155 facing Sean Cooper of Absolute Kombat. The fight went the distance with Halladay out wrestling, grappling, boxing and using his cage control to win him the decision and make his MMA record 1-0.
Last up was Tyler Warwick debuting at 135lb facing Kenneth Hopkins (1-1). The fight was fast and furious with Warwick controlling from the start. The fight was taken to the ground where Warwick almost broke Kenneths arm with a kimora (armlock) but he eventually escaped with Warwick positioned on bottom guard where he locked in a tight triangle choke finishing at mid way through the first and bringing his MMA record to 1-0.
