Cyclones Hosting OHF Atom Championships

The Chatham-Kent Cyclones ‘AAA’ organization had good news for one of their teams well before the puck dropped on the 2012-2013 season. The organization announced Sunday night that they will be hosting the Atom AAA OHF Championship tournament.

The annual provincial championships welcomes five teams; two from the Alliance, two from the OMHA, and one from the GTHL.

As hosts, the 2002 Atom Chatham-Kent Cyclones receive an automatic bid to the tournament.

The tournament will involve a banquet Thursday night for the teams, with games to follow that weekend including the final Sunday. The event, which will keep teams in Chatham-Kent for multiple days will undoubtedly provide a boost to the local economy.

This is the first time the Chatham-Kent Cyclones have been selected to host the OHF Championships.
